Vistara Airlines
Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Sons Private Limited and Singapore Airlines Limited, reflects the implementation of a common vision to change air traveling in India. Owned by Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, which holds 51% and 49%, respectively, the joint venture was created in response to partners’ long-held desire to offer a unique flying experience. This initiative was driven by the long-standing past relations between these entities and their aviation, as well as a belief that the Indian air transport sector could grow in the future. After receiving a nod in 2013, Vistara began its operations on Jan. 9, 2015, intending to transform Air travel In India by integrating Tata’s and SIA’s service standards along with legendary hospitality for excellent deliverance leading to efficient customer satisfaction.
Vistara’s mission to provide personalized and smooth flying is reflected in its brand name, which comes from the Sanskrit word ‘Vistaar,’ meaning limitless space. Its slogan states blatantly “Fly new sensation,” which shows how it aims to deliver seamless travel for Indian passengers. Vistara flies 300 flights every day with its 67 fleet of Airbus A320neo, Airbus A321neo, and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft to serve more than 50 destinations within India and other countries. Vistara’s three-class cabin configuration—Business Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy ensure that the airline provides varying opportunities for comfort and amenities. Importantly, Vistara is known for its exemplary service levels, and spacious cabins, and has bagged the likes of Skytrax World Airline Awards 2021 award as the Best airline in India with the best economy class.
